Match Analysis: Nimes Vs. Sporting

In a highly disputed first half, USAM Nimes started the game better, and after 15 minutes, they were already leading by two goals, although Sporting C.P. still had the lead when it was 7:8 at the 18th minute. But despite the balance, USAM Nimes reached the break winning by two goals.

In the first half, USAM Nimes scored 17 goals from 21 shots (77,3%), and their goalkeeper made nine saves from 25 shots (36%). On the Sporting C.P. side, there were 14 missed shots out of 29 (51,7%), three turnovers and two saves from their goalkeeper in 20 shots (10%).

In the second half, USAM Nimes kept ahead until the 39th minute, but a double exclusion made Sporting C.P. reach the lead in the next minute. However, in the 43rd minute, Nimes returned to the lead. They didn’t let it go until the end of the match, taking advantage of the offensive inefficiency of Sporting C.P., were from the 45th minute on, they only managed to score three goals until the end of the match.

It is important to highlight in USAM Nimes the shooting efficiency of 75%, the ten goals in eleven shots from the Pivot position and the 14 saves of their goalkeepers. From the Sporting C.P. side, the inefficiency in the shots in situations of empty goal and long-distance and the three goals in the last fifteen minutes of the match.

In this way, USAM Nimes would go on to beat Sporting C.P. by six goals.
